“ill tell you half the story, the rest you fill it in, long as the villain win…” -JZ
just saw black panther
Since I oftentimes root for the villain bc the hero is just so lamee,
I thought for sure that i'd be rooting for Killmonger.
and this is from the person who would've been kind of okay with Luke joining Daddy
spoiler alert; if you’ve at least read the comic keep going
but when the guy actually got what he wanted
he sat on the throne
it made me realize how weak a victory is that is borne out of hate, anger, negative feelings, etc.
it made me realize wholeheartedly that
whatever wins i get
i want out of love
I don’t want it on some “I'll show them” motivation
that just seems so weak!
It just makes you deep down on some butthurt stuff that you should resolve within yourself. It's childish.
Now granted, T’Challa was v annoying with his inner conflict issues compared to the Very Assured Monger; Monger may have easily seemed like the appealing choice.
But that’s because T’Challa had a lot to think about, basically…finding the grey
while KillMonger was good being White AF (The bad guys in Star Wars wore white okay stay with me).
so, who is the good guy?
you gotta figure it out
I’m sure life has taught us by now that every person we are told to listen to isn’t always the person we are supposed to listen to
but blindly following/becoming the villain is the simple way
there are blacks
there are whites
and there are greys
Grey doesn’t mean that you are in the middle and weakened…once you are assured of whatever position you choose, you will become empowered (remember T’Challa actually won the fight once he got his mind together and figured out a happy medium).
when deciding who are the actual villains in your life,
maybe think about whose actions actually originate from love.
I’m positive that that is a sure way to stay great.
